Big Mac attack

My mom and dad spent their lasts days at Angela Hospice in Livonia within months of each other in 2019. The care, staff and the place itself is special to me and my family. I recently saw an online auction item on the Angela Hospice website. If I could become the highest bidder, it would allow me and one other person a chance to ascend to the top (552-feet) of the Mackinac Bridge through one of its towers. Can you say adventure? Well, I bid…I won. I should say my wife Susan and I won. To be fair Susan wasn’t quite in the loop on the idea until I won. She has agreed to go, likely this summer and ride in a small elevator, climb a narrow ladder(s) and pop out the hatch on top. Our State of Michigan Mackinac Bridge Authority donates 25 of these certificates each year to charities across our state. This is certainly one of the most unique prizes of my life. I have included a link to news report from a few years back that highlights the excursion to the top of the bridge. The adventure awaits and so does the top of the Mighty Mac.
